Em uma entrevista para o site do Sonisphere Festival, o guitarrista do Slipknot e do Stone Sour, James Root, revelou que o Slipknot ainda não decidiu se vão continuar o trabalho depois do falecimento do baixista Paul Gray, no último mês.
Jim disse que ele e o vocalista Corey Taylor planejam dois anos de turnê com o Stone Sour e, logo após este período se reunirão com os demais membros do Slipknot para decidir o futuro da banda.
Segundo o guitarrista, "um grande proccesso de cura terá que acontecer antes da banda pensar se o Slipknot continuará lançando CDs ou fazendo shows".
Vale lembrar que o Slipknot já estava de férias quando o baixista Paul Gray faleceu. Portanto, de qualquer forma, a banda só voltaria às atividades em meados de 2012.
